select ???
Ok this may be a stupid question to some but..... Example... a stallion has his first yearlings in 2005, at the sale some are in select some are not is this because of the mare he was breed to has a better race record or female family or comfirmation of the yearling or what farm they were breed by ????? or all of the above???

An obvious corollary is that some consignors or breeders are known for having the top-selling individuals, and have a better chance of getting their horses into the select sale in later years. An individual with less history of high sales will be less likely to attempt a select sale, or will be less likely to be accepted.
If the auction company has to inspect each horse to include in the sale, it's easier to inspect twenty at one farm in Kentucky than one individual on a farm in Oklahoma.
