buckpasser as a broodmare sire

Postby stancaris » Tue Jan 07, 2014 3:24 pm

To All: Does anyone know where I can get the full record of Buckpasser as a broodmare sire. I found his cumulative record up to 2001 in the Bloodhorse magazine of Nov 17, 2001 but would like a fuller account to the present if that is possible? How many total foals, stakes winners, AEI etc.

buckpassers complete record as a broodmare sire

Postby stancaris » Fri Feb 07, 2014 1:57 pm

Joltman: The closest I came to his full record as a broodmare sire was found in the 2005 Stallion Directory from Bloodhorse Magazine. In 2001 in the Bloodhorse magazine he led all broodmare sires on the cumulative list with a 3.23 AEI. That year his cumulative number of stakes winners as a broodmare sire was 141 from a total of 1328 foals from his daughters or 10.6%. To that point they listed a total of 148 dams that produced 1328 foals.

Gorge William Smith did an analysis of broodmare stallions in the 4th generation with current descendants in racing. He determined that Buckpasser was in a class by himself at the top. Mr P. had an abominable score.

Unfortunately, I did not steal his table and his explanations, only a link. But Smith's provider no longer provides bloglike services, so the link no longer works.
