Pocahontas (the Glencoe daughter); Lady Josephine (#1 in my book); Agnes (FF 16); Selene; Goody Two Shoes; Padua; La Troienne; Magnolia; The Cub Mare (FF-4r); Croucher; Black Duchess; Concertina. Okay, that's 12, but a great twelve. I'd also add Gallopade and Queen Mary and Pretty Polly and Quiver and Beeswing and Ellen Horne.

What would be the basic criteria for a mare to be an outstanding producer with great influence on the breed?

Maybe not in top ten, but one of the greatest mares is without doubt Urban Sea, dam of Galileo and Sea the Stars.
