Why not? I have a copy of a children's book written about Best Pal (by James Val, I think), and I'm sure he wasn't the first equine idol to be written up for kids.

I've got a copy of the very posthumusly written 'Seabiscuit' book for kids.....of very recent publication, co-incident with the movie.

There was a children's book about Ruffian, too....I must have checked that one out of the library a dozen times, despite its unhappy ending.

I think it is great. I am a big Smarty fan and have been since before all of his derby hype...he is the perfect candidate for a children's story. Very Happy

I wonder if anyone gets royalties for the book sales?

Also got wondering if a famous Thoroughbred has ever "endorsed" a product, like most other famous athletes do? Hmmmm. Might be a whole new dimension to marketing a stallion in that.
