Jeanies Rob, stakes winning gelding of $400K, $750

Postby BargainBlueblood » Mon Feb 14, 2005 9:20 pm

Jeanies Rob, a multiple stakes winning 9-year-old gelding by Glitterman out of Myrrh's Gold, is available for $750. He won his last start in late December, but he came out of the race with his right front ankle bothering him. He's walking sound, but he'll probably need some time and TLC before he's riding sound. Still, this gallant campaigner earned over $400,000 in his career, and his trainer would like nothing more than for him to find a great ''forever home'' to live out his years.
Priced at $750...but a good home is of utmost importance. Jeanies Rob is at Charles Town. Call or email me for more information. Thanks!

How tall is he, Michael?
So many pedigrees...so little time. (C)

I am thrilled to say that Jeanies Rob will be headed to his new home in WA shortly. He will enjoy his retirement with my other ottb gelding. Thank you Michael for putting us together!

Well done Bargain Blue and Vigors Mom!!!! Somedays its worth getting out of bed! The purses are pretty good there maybe the owner will spring for the shipping bill knowing that the old war horse will live out his days in a manner befitting his record.

Thank you Wilf! Actually, I have gladly offered to cover his shipping. His trainer is be commended for keeping this guy on for months until he found just the right home for him. A class act. :) I wish all horses were thought of so highly!

Hats off to VigorsMom and Jeanies Rob's classy (final) trainer Jake Secor...I was just a middleman on this one, but the real stars are those who put their money where their hearts were and did what they had to do to give an exceptional stakes horse the retirement he deserves. :) A nice story with a happy ending...it does the heart some good.
