Messed Up On Pedigree

Postby photofinish » Fri Jun 12, 2009 8:20 pm

I misspelled a horse's dam's name when I added him to the database. I spelled it HR HennessEy instead of HR Hennessy.... I gave the required info on HR Hennessy when I realized my mistake, but how do I get rid of HR HennessEy, who I'm not sure ever existed, even, from my colt's page and replace it with the correct spelling (at which point the correct info should surface all the way back)?

Thanks!

Assuming that your colt is Side Car, the entry is fixed. :)

For future reference, all you need to do is select 'edit information' from the maintenance menu, put the correct name in the dam field, and edit away.

Then, once the misspelled entry is no longer anybody's parent, you can delete it. Please be sure to delete any additional info - color, etc - from it first.
