do the mosses have the balls to send her to Giacomo next year? lol
now THAT is how you support a stallion _________________ “We also often add to our pain and suffering by being overly sensitive, over-reacting to minor things, and sometimes taking things too personally.”

| They should keep her racing next year, and aim for the major races in dirt and turf. And at least one meeting with Rachel Alexandra. |

Dont think they should make her crack further..1 year older next year..remember..recede when the going is still good.
Already worth a lot now..having bagged both classic...plenty of bridegrooms awaiting..happy marriage..Zen ! _________________ Justice Is Not Man-Made But It Binds All Mankind |

She should be sent to Kitten's Joy and the offspring should be called Zen's Kitten. By the time Zen's Kitten hits the track, I predict that Kittens will fill all 12 spots in the Juvenile Turf.
Or she should be sent to Tiznow, offspring to be called Tiz Yatta. Tiz Yatta will win the Classic an unprecedented six times in a row, but will be so slow to mature she will not start until age five.
My favorite pairing would be with Dynaformer. The offspring, most likely to be named Dyna Zen, will top out at eighteen hands high, have a best distance of about three miles, be proficient on all surfaces, and after a career on the flat lasting until she's nine years old, she will be a multiple Eclipse Award winner over jumps. Dyna Zen will be full of character. When you're looking at her she'll prance and dance to keep your attention like her dam, and when your attention strays she'll bite your ass off like Dynaformer. |

Keep her safe and let her breed, she has nothing more to prove. To keep running her is no more than greed, retirement is all class! _________________ REED HILL FARM home of white TB stallion ALLAMYSTIQUE and young palomino TB stallions RED WHITE N GOLD and TWENTYFOUR KT GOLD. www.reedhillfarm.com |

Ordinarily I'd agree with you, and I'm assuming that she will be retired. But seriously, when have you ever seen a horse that so obviously loved everything about racing? The strutting in the saddling area, the pricked ears down the stretch when she unlimbers those long legs and makes hash out of the competition, the enjoyment she seems to get out of the crowd? I wonder if she'd be bored away from the track?
And Geo, your "suggestions" cracked me up! Dyna-Zen would eat up the competition...and the grooms.

I think she needs to go to the Spanish Riding School of Vienna to show the Lippizaners a thing or two .
But I like a date with either AP Indy or Medaglio D'oro |

I have never seen anything like her, although I'm sure there are some with her "Diva" ways and extrodinary stride and heart, that never got in a race like that, that go un-noticed and didn't win as much........ For Zen to be pushed for the extra earnings knowing she will be pushing herself to try for the jockey............and may have ended up very mesed up or dead because of it????
IMO what the fans need to see is that racing owners do have good sense enough to retire such a "Queen" and give her a chance to create a family line with "The Greats" and pass on those qualities every owner and trainer dream of.
T o remember her anyother way such as broken down or put down, would be unberable. Broodmares need good legs to keep up and play with their kids. If Zenyatta's are 1/2 of what she is, she'll definately need to be in top form to keep up with them!! _________________ REED HILL FARM home of white TB stallion ALLAMYSTIQUE and young palomino TB stallions RED WHITE N GOLD and TWENTYFOUR KT GOLD. www.reedhillfarm.com |

| Retire her when she's ready, not just because she has a perfect record and she's sound. I've never seen a race horse enjoy its job so much before I saw Z on TV yesterday, and it makes me want to cry in frustration to think that she'll never get to enjoy herself in that way ever again. |

I doubt that anyone except you would accuse the Mosses of being greedy if they decided to keep a happy, healthy, horse on the track where she's obviously in her element.

Wow what a lot of drama.
That's quite a leap of logic you're making to assume that more racing will kill her. |

Man, everyone's so serious on this thread. I thought it was for fun. Going back to bdw's original question and having given it a great deal of serious thought, it occurred to me that it's not the Mosses who need the balls, it's Giacomo. Hopefully he's still in possession of these items, otherwise a lot of people are being ripped off.
If Zenyatta did go to Giacomo, then Sting would have to be the honorary godfather of the resulting colt, Zencomo. |
