He's at the same stage of shedding that Baby Duke is! I really want to have some portraits done of him but not until he's done losing some of that baby fuzz. I see his white mark shrunk a bit, that's the one thing I keep hoping is that he does not lose his... it's small to begin with!

I really like him. Is he going to the Nov sale?

I don't think he'll be ready for November and he's such a nice colt I won't mind waiting till one of the yearling sales. I think he might be perfect for the July sale next year.

The Dunkirk filly will almost certainly go to the November sale. She's really forward.

Wow, what a stunning foal, very nice conformation, a little over at the knee but hey, he is a foal and almost all foals have that little error! But he is beautiful, you did a great job with him. Good luck! Cool

He's looking really good, Zahrah! It's been so hot here that all of our foals except the one born in late May are already totally shed out. They had no desire to hang onto that baby fuzz in this heat.

Interesting comment, MattieCat. I've seen very few foals that are over at the knee, nor is this one. He's simply standing with his front legs underneath him.

They are babies, they don't know how to stand, even if he were standing splay legged it would not mean anything was wrong. I don't know why anyone looks below the belt at this point.

Mine still had not shed when I was there but he sure would have been thrilled to have me standing there and rubbing off the foal coat....
