Well, folks....we got the black mare that we had been looking out for when her racing days were over. Hopfully she will arrive at the farm by the weekend and I will get some pictures and formally introduce her to all of you. Very Happy

Her name is Dixie Jet, by Anasheed out of Golden Kisses. The funny thing is, there is another horse running at Fort Erie that is by the same stallion, and it almost looks black to me, as well. Sadly I cannot remember the name at the moment.

She is supposed to arrive tomorrow morning, so my partner in the horses will hopefully get some pictures so I can post them tomorrow night.

Congrats! If your partner does not get pictures in the next couple days, I know where she lives (and she is close Wink) and can swing over to take some myself Smile

Well, here she is, just off of the trailer! Isn't she a 'purdy' colour! LOL
I love how blacks have that 'blue' highlight to their coats.

She banged up her knee at the track about two days ago-got cast-but no permanent damage-so she's just poulticed and bandaged for the trip.
