Depending on the stud fee I plan to give LONHRO a serious look for 2012.

He's standing at Darley, so if his foals don't take to dirt, he'll have Darley support over in Europe. Octagonal got a Gr-1 winner in his sole trip to France, and much of what is in Lonhro's pedigree will fit in well there.

Darley would be smart to import a good son of LONHRO to race in America. If he performed well on dirt U.S. breeders would be far more inclined to breed to dad.

I spoke with Darley today about LONHRO and learned that he will stand for US $30,000. They plan to breed 20 of their own mares to him and restrict his outside bookings to 80.

No plans to bring any LONHRO offspring here to race, at least for the time being.

I was told All American will not shuttle back to Darby Dan b/c breeders did not welcome him with open arms like first thought. Darby Dan & Darley aren't even in the same commercial boat as far as I'm concerned but I do hope breeders can make Lon useful in their programs.. $30k is a bit too high in my opinion.

I heard the same thing. I bred a mare to him this year and would breed back again if given the chance. AA is one of the most attractive stallions from the semi-homely Roberto line.
