SIMMARD --- pleasant surprise!

Postby Jorge » Sun Feb 26, 2012 9:03 pm

What a pleasant surprise to browse the vintage pedigree
of SIMMARD (Chestnut H 2005) who just won the Mac Diarmida
http://www.pedigreequery.com/simmard

Makes me remember when Restless Con http://www.pedigreequery.com/restless+con
won the Haskell Invitational in 1990
with another vintage pedigree

Be aware that SIMMARD’s grandsire are non other than
Northern Dancer and Spectacular Bid

Take a look at the age of their immediate parents!

:D :D :D

How about the rally to third by Musketier? Simmard at 7 and Musketier at 10 is certainly reason enough for many to think about keeping their winning athletes in training.

Great effort on behalf of MUSKETIER. Sometimes we become too protective with these old timers. I was just glad to see him end the race in good shape. But no, Musketier had other plans: he became a millionaire :D thanks to his third place in a shoestring. Great mount by Johnny Velazquez.
