With the new "points system" to qualify for the Derby, now only the "select" races will count vs. graded stakes earnings. Fantastic  Now, what will be the qualifications to get into the qualifiers? There are only so many spots in the starting gates for those races, too! While this is great for the "select" races, I think it's another move to streamline racing across the country, a move I personally don't like. |
