keenland yearling sale

How is the sale doing so far? It is tough to judge with the new format. Anybody have any thoughts on whether it is up or down on average?

This is the foal I was most interested in at the sale, also. I saw her sell live- she went for $250K and she was a beauty and had real presence.
I love the female family, and there are so many half sisters of Honey Ryder, and their female offspring, that I believe this page will continue to be very active in a good way. 8)

Because the format is so different from previous years, it's impossible to make a direct comparison, but no matter how you choose to judge it, the sale is definitely up quite a bit from the last several years by both average and median.

Today's Hip 712 sold for $2,500,000.00. It's by War Front, from a female family that in my opinion is not strong enough to warrant such a price.

18 million dollar horses sold so far. Best since 2005 I think. :D
