263 will be on the cheap. $10k or less.
<snippage>
151 should get to $25k, maybe even $30k. |
Hehe ... sometimes I hit'em dead on and sometimes I miss it by miles.
So how ugly was 151 that it only got to $7,500? |
Well, not a whole lot at the sale went as high as $25K or $30K, especially on day 2. Median price for the sale was $3500, so at $7500, it must have been one of the BETTER looking ones, I guess. Seems like those with the deep pockets were all in Keeneland a few weeks ago, and maybe there were some deals to be found at Barrett's... |

I still think someone got luck with that one. I really won't be surprised to see it in the 2yo-i-t sale later this year. |

I was there and like a typical Barretts mix sale most all went very cheap. So what else is new? That is why some people put reserves on their horses to protect them. And you can tell those who just wanted to move them along no matter what. I always considered this and the Oct. Mix a CULL sale.....never expecting much.
I saw lots of nice looking horses go cheap....if the horse didn't have the "whole package"....sire power, female pedigree, SIZE....near perfect conformation. People just were not interested. Why should they be when they can go else where or wait for a better sale. _________________ I try not to listen to the voices in my head.
But sometimes they have such good ideas |
