| Well, Celestial Quest will be making her debut on Thursday at Laurel Park in Race 3. We've waited a long time for this. Pumped up, even though we're the longest shot on the board. |

| Celestial and I came out of the race fine. I say "I" because this was my first race as well. She did hit on both back legs, but she's healing up fine. She ate up like the glutton that she is, and the trainer, who usually gives 3 days off, said she only needed 2 off, said she was pretty high walking these two days. She went back into her regular routine today and looked good. She didn't change leads in the stretch of the race, but the exercise rider said she did everything today like normal. She's wondering what was on her mind in the race. We'll see what happens next time out. Although it wasn't what I had hoped for, I was pleased with how it turned out. She knows I still love her no matter what!!!!! |

Wow..your first race...congrats. I remember my first race...I was so nervous watching the race.
Are you guys going to try her in MSW company again or will you drop her down into the MCL ranks? |

| Nervous is an understatement!! I couldn't eat, sleep, think, etc. If you asked me my name that day I know I would have claimed to be someone else!! Celestial is not only the first I raced, but also the first horse I ever bred. I don't think I will drop her. It all depends on what the trainer says. Actually she is like my daughter, so if she can't win at a high level, she'll just probably go to the farm. It's a funny story how I got her, "she was delivered by the heavens". Her mother was my first thoroughbred. I got her at Fasig Tipton KY, and when I got her home, I looked up her race record. All her important race dates had meaning for me. Her 1st race when she earned a check was my father's birthday. Her next race was her only win, run on my uncle's b-day (dad's best friend, the reason he met my mother). Her next race was her only stakes race, run on the day Celestial was born 4 years later. And her last race was run on my b-day. So that tells me that mom and daughter should be with me for life. By the way HR LLC, I'm in Bowie too. Is all the development bugging you as much as me? |

The first horse I ever owned was claimed from me the first race I ran her. Therefore, I could not get to attached to her. I have a couple of horses I am attached too but I have to be careful since I am a "for profit" business. I actually sold all my mares last year so I only have one horse left that is a farm ornament.
My house was built in 2000 so I am not against all the development. Bowie needs all the tax dollars they can get to fight the crime. They have a couple of new "mac-manison" developments going up right next to my subdivision with prices starting at 750k to 1.5 million. I am glad I bought in Bowie a couple of years ago. I cant imagine paying a mortgage on a 1.5 million dollar home. The property taxes have to be around 15k per year on those homes. I would not be in the horse business with that type of mortgage. |

Not only on first occasion, I couldn,t eat drink or anything else
or got my stomach empted in the days before.
On the day itself I,am most relaxed and see how the results are
But it is starting all over from the minute my filly is entered in a race. |

| Those $1.5 million subdivisions moved me out of my first farm. I was actually leasing the farm from a family, and when the husband died, his estate was divided up, and the 20 acre parcel I was on ended up being controlled by a trust fund, and within a year, they sold the land. But someone was looking out for me, because now I'm leasing an 80 acre farm. I'm seriously thinking about the Eastern Shore, whenever it is that I can actually afford my own place. |

In my first race sixteen years ago, my horse skidded out of the gate and threw the jockey over his head! _________________ Rocking H |
