| That was Prince Plaudit. Not Plaudette. Plaudette would be a mare. The Prince was on the back cover for years. He was a very much celebrated sire.I had horses by his son Prince's Jim. |

Put them to whatever you want. The best sire in Appaloosa history was Prince Plaudit. I may have gotten his color wrong. However, I do know the color of Prince's Jim, his son, and the sire of Prince David (by Prince's Jim). I've personally seen Prince's Jim several times. He looked like the little bit of color he did have was black to me. Maybe they were especially dark chestnut. He had 3 spots on his right shoulder, about the size of a silver dollar. The rest of him was stark white. Prince David was the sire of a number of National Champion halter colts. He was a leopard.
Prince Plaudit stood in Pa. Prince's Jim stood for years in Montana or a state nearby, then moved to Florida. Prince David stood in Texas. |

| Also, back when King Plaudit was at stud, no one would have noticed if their palomino had an odd spot or two. He may have had a white or darker chestnut spot on him somewhere. They didn't care. He was a strong influence because he had superior conformation and was widely bred, to Apps, QHs, paints, you name it. |
