What a pleasant surprise to browse the vintage pedigree
of SIMMARD (Chestnut H 2005) who just won the Mac Diarmida
http://www.pedigreequery.com/simmard
Makes me remember when Restless Con http://www.pedigreequery.com/restless+con
won the Haskell Invitational in 1990
with another vintage pedigree
Be aware that SIMMARD’s grandsire are non other than
Northern Dancer and Spectacular Bid
Take a look at the age of their immediate parents!

| How about the rally to third by Musketier? Simmard at 7 and Musketier at 10 is certainly reason enough for many to think about keeping their winning athletes in training. |

Great effort on behalf of MUSKETIER. Sometimes we become too protective with these old timers. I was just glad to see him end the race in good shape. But no, Musketier had other plans: he became a millionaire thanks to his third place in a shoestring. Great mount by Johnny Velazquez. |
