| Thanks, Madelyn. How much difficulty was the Goldmine upgrade? Fappiano has improved his already stellar credentials as the best conduit to Mr. P. Anyone else emerge? In combo with Fappiano? Conduits through daughters still a bad number? |

| When I consider inbreeding to Mr. P. as close as 3x3, I only consider it if my mare is very, very correct in her front end. |

| I would also not consider a Mr. P inbreeding unless one or more of the conduits have had at least some degree of success. Fappiano leading the way with almost half of the GSWers when inbred to Mr. P. AND, probably never through daughters |

Are there any with Crafty Prospector? My stallion is by a son of Crafty Prospector and my mare is by a different son of Crafty Prospector(both sons were SW's with earnings over $600K.) Foals will be 3x3 to Crafty Prospector. Mares 2nd dam produced Devious Course his only US G1. My stallion is a SW with 6 wins and my mare also had 6 wins.

I have a yearling filly that is 3x3 to Mr.P and 4x5 to Boldnesian. The sire is out of a G1 daughter of Mr.P and the broodmare sire is a stakes placed son of Mr.P. The Boldnesian is through his sons Bold Reasoning and Bold Ruckus. Watching this filly move has been thrilling for me from nearly the moment she was born and I'm pulling my hair out waiting until she's old enough for me to ride.
The mare is being bred this year to a sire that will produce a 4x3 to Mr.P and 4x4 to One for All. the Mr.P on top through Consquistador Ceilo this time and the One for All through daughters. Although I'm not as pleased with this cross this sire has superior conformation and has had more success as a sire from fewer opportunities.
I am very comfortable with this close of inbreeding where neither the sire or dam have significant conformational faults and they have compatible conformation. |
