Thanks Sylvie. The Suffolk folks were already told and they scratched the horse since the race was this past Monday.
This man is working near Bowie, wonder how many horses he has accumulated from there?

| Any updates on this case? I called the investigator who was out of his office and left a message. I think that I know two of these mares. This fellow was buying up horses about 3 years ago. I'd love to know more...am trying to be patient waiting for the investigator to call back today. |

His horse is still at Suffolk and worked again this past Friday. Will be interesting to see who's name it races under since he has cousins who are trainers.
He not only has/had the farm in NC but he was standing stallions Rarified, Halo's Stride (who I thought was dead??) and Mr. Big Bird in Florida.
Google is not this mans friend. Seems his name was brought up with 2 seizures in NY in the last several years and he reputedly had a habit of sending skinny horses to farms and then blaming the farms in NY and PA for their care.
Hope the mares you knew are fine. |

I spoke with the investigator today, and the two mares I knew are fine. They're trying to adopt them out without disclosing their pedigrees or racing backgrounds. One won almost 1/2 a million and the other is a stakes producer. Glad to know that they'll have good homes without any expectations on them other than being horses.
I'm familiar with the other two cases with which this individual is associated...but from afar. Seems funny that I can name 3 seizure cases, and this fellow is involved in some way with all three. Eeeek.
Thanks for your reply. |

Glad to hear that the 2 mares you knew are safe. This guy's horse is running tomorrow at Finger Lakes. The trainer from Suffolk is now the listed "owner" .
Is there anything that can be done for the horses at the farm he has in FL while he is not taking responsibilities for his NC horses. |
