This horse has the wrong dam. The correct one is the british Blue Gem, by Blue Peter, not the southafrican one. It can't be corrected.
It used to show the correct dam, how did anyone was able to switch the dam, when the horse has plenty of progeny for years, and the wrong dam is years younger than him.
Can anyone, please correct the record, and lock the horse? Thanks.

Very simple - it wasn't Princely Gift that was changed. It was the dam, Blue Gem. She had been the first entry for that name in the database, but at some point someone overrode her pedigree with that of the SAf mare. As a result, the SAf mare now has two entries.

I will put her back where she was and lock her entry.

I also noted this morning that now there are two entries for Princely Gift, both with the correct pedigree. Would it be possible to consolidate those two? thanks in advance.

...again? I deleted one of those yesterday, or at least I thought I did. Confused There had been a second entry for him under the newer entry for his dam.

Looks like it is gone now, but if it reappears please let me know.

Oh, TG. I thought I'd lost my mind the last time I looked him up.

New here, just wanted to say thanks for clearing that up. Princely Gift was the 3rd sire of a horse that I will always remember as a "once in a lifetime horse", Lord Ever-so-sure (1978-2005), he is in the database. So, I remember looking at Princely Gift already in the mid 80'ies, researching the pedigree. Smile

Best wishes,
Cissi in Sweden (30+ years of pedigree research, meeting "Lorden" in 1985 really got me into thoroughbreds)
