Did anyone else catch the new E-Nicks ad promoting it's $595 "enrollment fee" for stallions?

To be eligible for an E-Nicks recommendation a stallion must be enrolled. For mare owners this means that the only stallions that E-nicks will recommend are the ones whose owners paid to play.

So, even though 'better nicking' stallions may be available for a breeder's mare, they will not be promoted by the Werk Company.

To my knowledge, all of the Nicksters operate their businesses in the same manner.

Michael,

I am not sure where you got that idea from. It is incorrect (surprise, surprise).

eNicks and TrueNicks both run a stallion subscription model. If the stallion owner pays for it, the stallion is put up on their respective sites and the users (broodmare owners) can run unlimited hypothetical matings against the stallion in question free of charge. If a stallion is not a subscribed stallion, broodmare owners can still get a rating for it if they are interested, they just have to pay for it. I can't speak for Werk/eNicks, but as far as TrueNicks is concerned, as you suggested that we run our "business in the same manner", nothing could be further from the truth. All the broodmare products that TrueNicks offers includes all the stallions that are in the Blood Horse SRO Free Index, regardless of if they are a TrueNicks subscribed stallion or not. We do not run a free "Mare Match" service which only includes enrolled stallions rather we charge broodmare owners for a Broodmare Report which includes up to 50 stallions that you can pick individually, or have the program return the top 50 rated.

You enter the parameters that you want and it will gather every stallion that fits into it as long as it is in the SRO free index (this index includes stallions that are not paid to be in the printed Stallion Register as well) so you are completely incorrect in suggesting that just because the stallion is not a subscribed stallion it will not be included in Broodmare reports and other material. The free index is updated daily and includes just about every known stallion standing at stud in just about every country.

If you ever have a question about anything to do with TrueNicks you can call me on 859 354 4579 or Ian Tapp on 859 276 6810. Either of us will be happy to answer any question you may have about TrueNicks which may help you not make these incorrect statements in the future.
