to think less than 100 years ago, that's not many more than 6 or 7 horse generations, the best breeder to ever look at a race horse was based here and this is the home of pretty much every bloodline we produce in america (through Ribot and Nearco), now they are all but done _________________ "When the solution is simple, God is answering.”

Tesio never kept more than 6-7 mares at one time. Hard to believe he accomplished what he did from such a small number, but that's what he kept at Dormello. _________________ May 2013: Plan ahead now for the Phalaris/Teddy Centennial!

the comments below the article state that the condition of racing has been on the decline for over 30 years. Quite a few generations of horses, and the fact that they have said they are sending their mares abroad (to Ireland/England) to be covered at huge costs and get zero return.
Hmm.. this all sounds SO familiar! Again, how much for a box stall from all points to Ky? |
