Gosh Bast - I think it is still free to sit in an OTB somewhere - they usually have all the races you could want. Our libraries here all have pc's with internet connection and really fast - a library card gets you one for an hour but they will let you stay longer if no one else is waiting to use them...

Back to bdw's picks - you are so brave to post in advance. Take Charge Indy was the horse in the FL Derby.. The Sheikh's horse won the World Cup.. hopefully your other picks fared better!

honestly not really.

those weren't really my picks. i don't wager those horses.anyone knows anything about the way i actually handicap i refuse to wager on a horse before i see it in the post parade. there is bdw the horse racing fan, which is what this post is, and there is bdw the handicapper.

half those tracks (gulfstraem, dubai) i don't even play becuase of the camera angles they give in the post parade i don't deem good enough

That is the way I feel also - I can tear my hair out furiously studying the form but I wait for "the horse in front of me" - which I why I almost NEVER pick a Derby horse until I see them. The only exception was the time I put $50 on Street Sense to win because I had a mare in foal to Street Cry (I know, silly sentimentalism) but it worked out okay because I got $300 back.
