A few people said she was a freak, but I was a little surprised she topped the sale.
My catalog page scribble says:
"Great mover, back at the knee" |

| Yes, she moved very well. It's just a question of potential for injury. |

they named her Boca Belle by the way.
You know I hate the girly names.
She reminds me of a giraffe. Something about the knobby joints, and the low-set tail. Also the lighter muzzle that tapers.
I woulda called her Silver Giraffe or Silver Shorts. _________________ All shouting does is make you lose your voice.

I ran across a photo of this girl and she had a beautiful stride - Blood-Horse p 1102, Feb 23, 2008. She was Hip# 1 F Silver Deputy Daisy Dukes BUZZ CHACE, AGT. FOR WEST POINT TBS. & JOHN WILLIAMS $ 520,000 -
It made me wonder what she did on the track...
Boca Belle
Career Statistics:
Starts: 4
Firsts: 0
Seconds: 1
Thirds: 2
Earnings: $17,487
That made me wonder what the other sales toppers from 2008 did - new thread with the results...

I was given a 1% share of that filly as a gift...so I was very disappointed at her career.
She had a very tough time of it with multiple injuries.
They decided not to sell at auction, but turned her over to someone privately---didn't even think she was going to be a broodmare, but she has two I believe. _________________ All shouting does is make you lose your voice.

Nice gift and it would have been more fun had she done better. Think about it...your share was worth $5200...look at that compared to her earnings. She really looked beautiful and her stride was huge. _________________ "The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it."
