Dreams for Hire, my 2yo filly by Western Trader out of Vivid Dreams, is racing at Remington Park on Tuesday night September 13th in a field of 11 maidens at claiming price of $25K, five furlong dirt. She's been training well and seems to enjoy her work, so now she gets to try it for real. It's been about 18 months since my last maiden's first start (and she never got the hang of it).

I will keep my fingers crossed (once and a while)for you, and your maiden. All the best.

Henthorn,
Good luck with your filly. I have a 2YO filly(A Lady Sometime) in training at Remington Park. Hopefully she will make her debut in October.

Dreams was so cool coming into the race, never broke a sweat. Just appeared curious about the commotion and the unusual circumstances. She went off as a 45:1 shot, and finished in about the same position at 8/11, twenty lengths back. Over half the fillies were first-timers like her. She lost momentum several times when she got dirt kicked in her face, and came out fine. Hopefully she learned from the experience and so did we. Better luck next time.
