Per 1830 American Turf Register & Sporting Magazine (vol 2, #1) AND Bloodlines.net (Family 43), dam was not LEGACY but HELEN by CONDUCTOR. Color shown as chestnut, not bay. Also indicate that foaling was 1786, not 1772 (earlier than Helen).
Originally named GONDOLIER.
Sent to America (MD) in 1787. Later returned to England.
