After two seasons racing in England (which included a third place finish in the Epsom Derby), Noor was sold to Seabiscuit owner Charles S. Howard and sent to the USA for the 1949 racing season, where he became the California based arch-rival of Citation, whom he defeated four times. First horse to win both the Big Cap and the Long Cap in the same year (1950), beating Citation both times. Retired to Howard's ranch in California in December 1950. Hall Of Fame 2002. Died 1974.
