He also defeated Assault, becoming the first horse to defeat 2 Triple Crown winners. Hall of Fame in 2002. Retired in Dec 1950. Died Nov 16 1974 at Loma Rica Ranch. Buried in the infield training track. Sept 2011, NOOR's remains moved to Old Friends TB retirement in KY.
