After two seasons in England (which included third place finish in Epsom Derby), Noor was sold to Seabiscuit owner Charles S. Howard and sent to the USA for the 1949 racing season. He became the California based arch-rival of Citation, whom he defeated four times.
Retired to Howard's ranch in December 1950.
Died Nov. 16, 1974 at Loma Rica Ranch. Broodmare sire of Dancer's Image. Hall of Fame inductee, 2002.
