After two seasons racing in England (which included a third place finish in the Epsom Derby), Noor was sold to Seabiscuit owner Charles S. Howard and sent to the USA for the 1949 racing season, where he became the California based arch-rival of Citation, whom he defeated four times.
Retired to Howard's ranch in California in December of 1950.
