After 2 seasons in UK (which included 3rd plc Epsom Derby), Noor was sold to Charles S. Howard in the U.S.He became the California based archrival of Citation, whom he defeated 4 times. He also defeated Assaul,becoming the first horse to defeat two Triple Crown winners. Hall of Fame inductee 2002. Retired in Dec 1950. Died Nov. 16 '74 at Loma Rica Ranch.
