Too Chic sold as a yearling in 1980 for $100,000 from the King Ranch consignment. She won her first start by 14 lengths, 7 furlongs in 1:23 1/5.
Won the one-mile Maskette Stakes (G1) at Belmont Park as a three-year-old in 1982, finished second in the Alabama Stakes (G1) at Saratoga Race Course.
She also equaled a Belmont track record by completing 1 1/16 miles in 1:40.40 in an 11-length allowance win on September 2 that year.
