| 1ST Underley Stakes, Audley End Stakes.
Albert was
unbeaten in a career of 5 races,
all of them at Newmarket as a
3YO in 1830.
The colt’s first 4 races were of
little consequence but in
November, an hour after winning a
match over 5f136y, he beat highclass
older rivals in the Audley End
Stakes over 1m6f. Cadland, winner
of the 1828 Derby, was 3rd.
Albert never ran again, for he
died after bursting a blood vessel
on the gallops the following
March.
