Congrats! That's a fantastic achievement. And amen to what Louis said. It's true, a stallion does not have to be major SW to be able to have runners. Often the best stallions were decent racehorse, but not especially great horses. Just as it is true that many multiple graded stakes winners go to the...

I just think it is fantastic to see a young stallion doing so well. With so many colts sent to stud every year sometimes you cant see the woods from the trees. But Montjeu is very much a standout and I hope he will continue to be. He was a brilliant and it might just look like he will be a brilliant...

He was 3/5 faster than both Madcap Escapade and Woke Up Dreamin, which I feel is quite impressive. What more can you ask from a 3yo sprinter than to crush his competition.

Very nice individual. Would like to see him in the BC Sprint up against the older boys and girls.

I wasn't offended, dont worry  You are right, it is a shame that these days a lot of unsoundness is bred into thoroughbreds. Unintentionally, but still. I have a great dislike of stables that retire sound horses at the end of their three-year-old year. That's my main point of frustration.

Ok, fair enough. In that case that was it. It is ashame, but c'est la vie. As I understand what I read before on the Racing Post website, it was possible to have it operated on, but Godolpin decided not to. Whichever one is true, it is goodbye to a brilliant racehorse and a big good luck to a new ca...

Motivator beaten by Oratorio

Oratario beat Motivator in the Eclipse at Sandown today. Now, I have to say this is a big surprise to me. I did not rate him very much. He flew home against Dubawi in the Irish Guineas, suggesting a little bit more distance would suit, but he failed in the Derby. Now, the main thing that this race di...

The problem that Shamardal has (a chip in his ankle I believe), he could come back. It is not a career ending injury as such. That he is off to a career at stud is because he has achieved so much and according to Godolphin he has proved enough. I am a big fan of the Godolphin operation because they ...

For Jorge - and his appetite for "coloured"TBs

Jorge, I gather from this forum that you are interested in sabino thoroughbreds, but although this guy is not sabino, you might also be interested in thoroughbreds with "Tetriarch spots". If you are, I'd like you to check out this fellow, you might have seen him. His name is Great Uncle Ted (yes I k...

I voted Street Cry. Mainly because I loved him as a racehorse and I simply hope he will do very well at stud.

Has anyone seen any of his youngsters yet?

I love it. No doubt many of us kept an eye on him since the stories of his birth a couple of years ago. I certainly have. Nice to see him run and win.

Pioneering's record is quite decent and Patchen Beauty is a winning mare, so he has all the credentials.

It is an unfair comment to Godolphin. Opposed to some other *cough* stables, they campaign their horse usually until at least their fourth or fifth year. In that regard they are great examples in the sport, think Dubai Millennium, Fantastic Light, Daylami, they all raced for years. They are usually ...

http://www.irish-racing.com/v3tracker?prf=M Lets you follow horses in the UK and Ireland. Do note that they often have not added horses to their lists that have not run yet, but I have used it for a while now and it is quite good. http://one4racing.net/formbook/notebook/ is another one for UK & ...
