Anyone seen The White Fox?

A friend of mine has a QH show mare that she's interested in breeding to him, but neither of us has seen The White Fox in person or even a very good photo. Any thoughts on his movement and conformation?

Don't mistake me, I never said I disliked Silent Name. I've been rooting for him to get a G1 for the past 2 years and his pedigree has a lot of upside. All I was saying is that I see how they feel Hat Trick is worthy of standing for $15K, based on his race record, looks, etc.

I dunno. I see the G1 races that Hat Trick won in Asia as being a little more competitive and important than the listed and G2 races Silent Name won in Europe and the US, but that's just me. I know some people still don't give the racing over there much credit, but I see winning the Mile Championshi...

Hat Trick's race record kicks Silent Name's and Agnes Gold's in the butt. Hat Trick is also better looking (at least to my eye) than Silent Name. I haven't seen Agnes Gold. I'm guessing Hat Trick would've been able to command a higher stud fee had he stayed in Japan. He seems well worth $15,000 here...

He appears to at least be the one with the best race record/pedigree combo. There are some nicely bred ones on that list, like Pavarotti and Aristocrat, but neither has a graded stakes win to his credit. I believe that Wilko and Sweet Return are the only 2 G1 winners among the new FL sires. While I ...

One thing I can say from having seen the horse is that his conformation is good. He was the most expensive yearling to sell at Keeneland that year, which is usually an indication that the horse looks good.

I think I'm one of the few who also believed strongly that Curlin would race in 2008. That was before he won the BC Classic, but the reason I thought that was more to do with his bloodlines and ownership than his race record. Smart Strike got fashionable all of a sudden, but he isn't a proven sire o...

FL breeders--do you like Saint Anddan?

He's retired and will stand at Journeyman next year for $6500. Just curious what people think of him. I've seen him and he's a virtual clone of his sire, but I have no other major thoughts on him. He had some speed, which is a plus.

She's almost 19, not ancient. But doesn't she have some chronic health problems?

If an actual half sister to Curlin by HOY Saint Liam can't bring more than $650,000, it's hard to believe that a 1/2 sister to his dam is going to be any kind of home run. I know the 2nd dam is a G2 winner, but she didn't produce anything that could actually run, despite being bred to the likes of D...

I thought most of her answers were....lacking. I certainly respect her, but that was not one of the better Talkin' Horses chats I've read.

I think when it was announced that he was leaving Lane's End, they mentioned that John Ed Anthony would breed some mares to him at his farm, which was where he was being sent. His fertility was the main problem. I'd be really surprised if many of those mares were outside mares.

That's very unfortunate. You'd think they'd want to keep some of them in the family. I sort of feel sorry for a classy old mare like Versailles Treaty, as well. She's more than earned the right to live out her days where she is and not be sold off. She's i/f to Unbridled's Song, so hopefully that wi...

All of Cynthia Phipps horses being sold?

I see that Versailles Treaty and her Empire Maker filly are cataloged for KeeJan and it says "Claiborne Farm, Agent for the Estate of Cynthia Phipps (Complete Dispersal)."

Ought to be English Channel, but probably will be Lawyer Ron. Invasor was better than Ron, but what can you do? Too bad he only got 1 race in NA this year.
