Thanks. I knew conformation can cause it of course, much the same as we are if we are flat footed, etc. I was just wondering about certain lines of horses seeming more suscpetible.

LA breeders

some of you mentioned my mare has a good turf breeding prospect. Anyone know of a good LA stallion nick? Rosie's Wish. My thinking is a stallion with stronger bones in the line. Thanks! Sue

Actually I was raised in Raymond, so whatever side Elliot hospital is on! I moved away from there early on, and lived in Gilford til I was 13, then moved west.

Well, maybe I can get a Derby winner yet, huh?! LOL I see someone was asking about breeders programs in another s...

Thanks! Her name is Rosie's Wish, and the trainer unloaded her on a thoroughbred farm here that takes in all of them from the area for stabling. Kind of a respite place from when they aren't training or racing. They know I will take in the ones that no one wants rather than them going to auction.

pedigree analysis

I have my mares pedigree from here, and TJC. Her name is Rosie's Wish. My question is this. Does it seem that a horse's line can produce horses that are more susceptible to breaking a sesamoid , or any other bone for that matter? I am not sure where she broke it, but I did hear later on that Lafayet...

Just saying hi!

I am new here, and wanted to say hi. I recieved a rescue mare this past spring, and plan on breeding her. She has a broken sesamoid bone, and it will hopefully heal, but if not, she will always have a home here. This sounds like a great forum to get to know more about breeding racing stock, and with...
