Please forgive my spelling-typing.

Maybe I should cease posting, until I learn to proof read.

I was at the Preakness and have watched the replays. He definitely broke stride. Take a look at the photograph in Sunday's Washinton Post for a great photo of the stumble. (I suspect that it may win an award for the best racing photo of 2005.) One can't say enough about Jeremy Rose's effort and Alex...

Eddington did win the Pimlico Special on the dirt (mud). So he is now a G1 winner on the dirt. If you like sons of Unbridled, I would think that you would have to like him.

I have a different opinion than Henthorn. Vanlandingham bothers me a lot. And Lil's Lad didn't make it, although I am told he sired good looking horses.

Pete,

Did you forget about Citidancer? If he had been fertile, I think that he would have been a sensational sire.

Pete, thanks for the reply. I am all over the lot, but that is what happens when it is late in the year, and you weren't able to breed to the stallion that you wanted. Stormin Fever did have a graded winner in Japan this past weekend at 1 1/4 miles, which doesn't hurt. I think that he may be ready t...

When I saw him 2 or 3 years agi, I thought that he was a gtrat looking horse. I woul have expected his 3 year olds to be doing something by now. I saw a stat last week that said he had 1 winner in 13 starters in 2005.

Sam, Thanks for the kind words "bastard step child" about the Preakness. Isn't it better to win one leg of the triple Crown than none? In terms of running back in 2 weeks, isn't that what Snow Chief did after he finished 10th in the Derby? And Point Given, Tabasco Cat, Hansel, Risen Star, Prairie Ba...

Sam, I can think of $1,000,000 reasons to run in the Preakness.

and

2nd jewel of the triple crown

and

a son of Concerto (no enormous stud fee for him no matter what he does)

If he's OK, let him run and we can determine how good a horse he is.

Just didn't see Giacomo. Liked Closing Argument and Wilko. A good handicapper would have noted that G had a tough trip in the Santa Anita Derby when finishing 4th just behind Wilko. Maybe next time. After the derby when I was feeding, I recalled Gate Dancer's Preakness win. I think the race was simi...

Fastappy, where did you find the quote of Floyd Oliver? Do you know him? If he is the person that I am thinking about, he used to live in Md.

At this point, I think Successful Appeal is leading Yes Its True. Closing Argument made a loud statement in the Derby. I know that he stands at a less "in" farm in Ky, but I like what his 3 year olds are doing.
