I've always thought cribbing and the like had a psych component, and like so many psychiatric disorders is a brain hormone inbalance. I would not be surprised to see some of these reuptake inhibitors improve the OCD behaviours, and yes, they are inherited. If I was a breeder, I would keep that in mi...

Yeah, looks pretty young, here's hoping his hind end came a bit more into proportion with the rest of him, but gosh is he a pretty horse! And 16 hands (maybe more, by now, drool, drool). Wonder how hes turning out, and how he goes. Awful pretty.

OK, USA, PLEASE DON'T SHOUT! LOL! When you use caps it looks like you are shouting, its good taste to use small letters and appropriate punctuation, etc., when posting, welcome to the board, tell us a bit about yourself! I am a former OTTB or two owner, love racing and listen in whenever I can. Lear...

Isn't Crowley's out near me, in Connecticut or Massachussets? From what I hear, its an auction where you can pick up QH, ponies, Morgans, all kinds of backyard horse types. Its held really frequently, and there is a website, if you want to check them out. They've been around for years, I have heard ...

Breeding a Hunter horse for the show ring is a very "type" consideration. Because of this, I would choose a sire and dam who display strong hunter conformation, with one of them at least well placed in the hunter show world. This conformation is not only necessary for body type but for way of going ...

I like what Mahubah says, and, I always have to remind myself that so much can happen in a horse's carreer to - I was going to say sabotage - but to throw him/her off the winning track, that is really hard to say "duplicate" very well, its so much more than the breeding that makes a winner, isn't it...

Also - were any of the horse who played "The Black" in the movie The Black Stallion thoroughbreds? I am assuming they wer...
