The sports world has got to wrangle these refs/stewards. They have way too much say in the outcome of major sporting events. I understand that different states have different regulations but all of the Triple Crown races shoud be run under the same regulations. Let him wear the nasal strip!!!

Haven't been to the track in a few weeks but SA, CD, Gulfstream and other Magna tracks cannot be bet or viewed in NJ, MD, PA, and NY. Apparently there is a fee that is being raised and the Mid-Atlantic tracks do not want to pay it. Not sure of all the details but I can tell you that it is turning me...

Racing Feeds in the Mid-Atlantic

Anybody have any insight as to when the feeds from other tracks will be coming back to NJ? I normally enjoy going to the track and seeing some of the up and comers but it has been a difficult year thus far. I hope that they can resolve this crap. Bad for the industry....Any thoughts?

Thoughts on the Triple Crown

I have been reading many of these posts and maybe I missed the topic but isn't it a shame that Mine That Bird isn't going for the Triple Crown. This is not a guys vs girls comment but I think racing needed a TC winner this year. The economy stinks, racing is having major troubles and all Jackson can...

Thanks for the info. I did a scan of the tickets and will post them tomorrow for you to look at. I wasn't looking for a famous horse or anything. I don't even care about the value. I go to AC Racecourse all of the time and took some nice photographs of the old track. I want to put together the ticke...

Steward, Thanks for the info. I got the info from my stepfather over the phone and I am sure that the second ticket is wrong. I am going over there tomorrow and I will look at the ticket. Where are you getting the information from? I would love to see a site where they listed them. I will post again...

September 29, 1953 Race 4: #6 Race 4: #15 Race 1: #6 Race 2: #9 I would like to know what else was on the card for that day. I have taken some photos of the track in its present condition and would like to display these tickets with them in a wall hanging in my office. If you can provide me with the...

Past perfomances Atlantic City Race Track - History

Where can I find information on past performances from September 29, 1953? We were given a collection of books and inside one of them were four pristine tickets from that date. The tickets are so sharp you can cut yourself with them and I wanted to find out what horses were in those races. Any help ...

I have read all of the opinions on this thread and only a couple touched upon the great thing that occurred this weekend. One comment was borderline disturbing. After all of the tragic endings to great horses in the last two years, I think that the BC was a success. We lost the Rider Cup in golf for...

Should have listened

I should have listened to those wise men on these boards about not playing the Breeders Cup. Great races but I got crushed. What a shame about Curlin. No one should ever take anything away from this incredible horse.

Anybody like her chances? Saw the Matron and her last before that. Looked like she had a nice turn of foot. I think she has two drawbacks...Post position (13) and never been around two turns. Let me know what you think.

I haven't seen the PP's either but I have a feeling that Tale of Ekati might make some noise if he doesn't get into any trouble. Might be nice speed up front for him to run at. Finished fourth in his last race, which he needed after getting part of his hoof torn off in the Belmont. Just my 2 cents. ...

I think we should all enjoy what BB has accomplished thus far. I am only in my 30's so these may be a stupid questions... Besides Alydar does anyone remember the horses that Affirmed put away? How about Secretariat? Were the horses that they beat considered the best 3yr olds at the time? I am not sa...
