Agreed Tuc. I would like to give, but I had just given a chunk of change to help rescue the Warren's thoroughbreds. What was was helpful in that situation was the coordinated response by Tranquility Farms. These large rescues take up enormous resources, and this one is bigger and more complex, as th...

and do YOU know the situation that caused this to happen? Were YOU there? How do YOU have any right to pass judgement? This isn't about YOU, is it? It's a very unfortunate and unhappy situation, but we have to be much more compassionate in our assessment .... as frustrating as that may be. I'm sorr...

Regarding joint injections - to me if this causes damage in humans, it could be amplified in an animal... "Corticosteroid injections can interfere with the healing process and weaken tendons, sometimes causing tendons to rupture. Repeated injections of steroids can also damage joint cartilage. For t...

Things are looking up. I left a message, and Mr. Waldrop of the NTRA actually returned my call. They are of course under deluge, I appreciate that he took the time. Seems like a decent sort. I am going to email him and see how I can help. He seems very aware of the problems we face as an industry.....

People mention here that sterioid use is theraputic for humans. Yes, but once prescribed for edema or other serious medical issues, a responsible doctor will slowly wean a patient off of the steriod. It is a double edged sword, as benefits vs side effects have to be weighed. Steroids do lead to roid...

Yes prepoly Keeneland and Santa Anita weren't the fairest but no way would turf horses win these derby preps while horses like Pyro would finish 10th. Sincerely, Pettybitchidiotchump Gee, I thought I just saw a turf horse win the Derby. His allowance race was rained off of turf, and that is how he ...

Time to fire back at PETA. If they are so damn concerned about saving lives, why are they euthanizing animals that the promised to give homes to?

When I saw her pulled up after the race, she was "nodding" during the trot back. Then when the jock got off of her, the TVG mike picked up the comment from the jock that "she's a little off". They said then that they would take the horse to the vet to be checked out. that's all I know.

Santa Anita 2nd, 1/25

Hello Louis -

I read this board quite often, first time posting. I was wondering if you happened to know the status of a filly, No One Like Me, who broke down at the 1/4 pole. Trainer is Paul Aguirre. Thanks so much for all the work you do in checking things out and letting everyone know.
