Re: California Chrome Headed to Royal Ascot
There must be a bet in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes. Free Eagle looks a very exciting prospect but at 7/2 he has to be worth taking on considering he’s still only managed to make the racecourse four times in his career. The Grey Gatsby is a likeable horse but isn’t a prolific winner, it’s anyone’s g...

Re: American Pharoah wins triple crown :)
I see him shuttling into some nice turf mares overseas which will be very interesting. Pioneer of the Nile liked the artificial tracks and Empire Maker has had success at siring turf runners, and of course he has that Storm Cat in there. With his Northern Dancer, Mr. Prospector and Bold Ruler 5 bac...

Re: American Pharoah wins triple crown :)
Still, questions about the whip have figured into the thoroughbred American Pharoah’s pursuit of the Triple Crown. His jockey, Victor Espinoza, was fined $300 by California racing officials in April for breaking the skin of Stellar Wind in the Santa Anita Oaks, a race she won by more than five lengt...

Stateside Studs
In the latest instalment of Stateside Stories, Nancy Sexton reflects on the changing scene of US stallion studs. THE landscape of Kentucky’s breeding industry has changed rapidly within the past decade to the point it looks quite different to that of even six years ago. In 2009, for instance, WinSta...

Re: What Has Racing Done to Promote Favor With The Fans?
1. Introduction A tricky decision whether to write and publish this document. On the one hand the established Punditry group are well entrenched and mostly immune from external criticism and show very little ability for self-improvement. Time spent on this could be more usefully applied elsewhere an...

Sir Michael Stoute has won this three times in the past nine years - all with short-priced favourites. ARAB SPRING faces very stiff competition and has a Group 3 penalty for his victory in the John Porter at Newbury but he looks the type to go on to much better things and is already fancied for the...

Re: American Pharoah
I should have explained that the above article was written by James Willoughby a racing pundit ( jeez I dislike that term) he can talk the talk, but sometimes here he can seem as if he's lost the plot.
