Re: Are Tapit mares a good investment

Tapit has not always been bred to great mares. He started out as an OK stallion and his stud fee was medium range. He has been around for a few years. So the older Tapit mares may not be a good investment. Look at the dam lines before you take any money out of your pocket.

Not for me, but people like to know breeding, even if it is a gelding.

Re: Rachel Alexandra--don't forget her full sister

Don't forget she has a full sister, Samantha Nicole, who is currently racing. Barbara Banke bought her while Rachel was still racing.

Sir Hotspur was owned by a friend of mine for a few years as a riding horse. She renamed him Valente.

Re: Perilous Night

I emailed Maryland Thoroughbred and got this reply:

Sadly she died of foaling complications after delivering Perilous Indian in 2010.
Her offspring still live on and celebrate her as we do.

Thank you for your interest.

Re: Best tempered Stallions or bloodlines?

Malibu Moon / I guess AP Indy horses that I have run into have tended to be pretty alpha and while not mean, had their own strong ideas about who was in charge.
