Santa Anita
Oh, it was sold out.........I couldn't get ANY tickets except GA the last month. It's absurd that they asked for $500 per, and then had NOBODY show. Stupid marketing, stupid concept, but great racing.

Santa Anita
Problem is, all those tickets were sold out. They've been sold out for months. In Kali-Fornia, (that was for Arnold) racing is dying. We need fans, and fan support. Now we have the chance to let locals get into the sport somewhat, and we price the tickets at $500.00. I'm supposed to take my family t...

Breeders Cup at Santa Anita
OK, so I just got back from 2 days of great racing at Santa Anita. And now my question is, Box seats were $500 face value, granstand reserved were $300. I sat in a box provided by a trainer, and in my row, we occupied 4 seats out of 20. The rows behind me were the same or LESS. Friday the seats were...

Big Brown..........
I'm curious, why all the bad blood about Big Brown? We say we want another great horse, like Big Red, or Slew, and then when we get one, or at least one that looks like one, we hammer him. I don't know about you guys, but the move BB made in the Preakness, was pretty impressive to me. Its not the ho...

Then why in the hell aren't we up in arms about those things? Why do we allow trainers who are caught time and time again cheating, giving them 6 month bans, 1 year bans, and they still have full barns? Why do we give them Eclipse Awards, honor them at banquets, and allow them to keep their licenses...

Woody
Well I'm going back to the original post, is there anything to be gained by running a horse back in 4 days, when it ran 11th, and then 5th 4 days later? I watched this horse today, he was never a factor. I guess with the same logic, if I run him tomorrow, he may place 3rd. My problem is these horses...

More than Ready
Well for the record More than Ready is a very good sire. But this thread started about Tribal Rule. Tribal Rule is a $5,000 California sire versus More Than Ready which is $40,000 and in Kentucky. I'm looking in California for a Stallion to breed to and produce runners, not necessarily Derby winners...

Pre race speculation
I am curious about the many people that are speculating that Barbaro may have been off before the start of the Preakness. What I saw was a horse that was ready to run. He knew what his job was and he wanted to go to work. The pre-race jumping and bucking I felt was an extremely GOOD sign that this c...
