Wow, the mind simply boggles! $16 million dollars for a horse? Yes, I admit I am a little jealous; I wish I had a few thousand dollars I could just spend as I choose, let alone a million! I also admit, I am little surprised he went for that given his pedigree, but I saw a short feature...

Mount McKinley?
Can anyone tell me anything about the stallion Mount McKinley?
I know his pedigree is MR. PROSPECTOR x Julie's Jazz, NUREYEV. Other than that, I don't know anything about him.
Can anyone tell me about his race record? His conformation? Post pictures?
Thanks so much!

For Jorge: Birdcatcher Spots on TB mare
I just thought Jorge might like to take a look at this mare: http://horseadoption.com/horsedetail.asp?id=222
She looks like she has a bunch of little Birdcatcher spots, but no other white markings except a very faint star.
Enjoy

Hmmm, I was looking at their page on him. At least two of the pictures on his page CAN'T be him. They are a Light Palomino Tobiano! (The top one and the very bottom one). http://www.lifeshighdesign.com/index.php?page=billionair Geeze, for the price they are asking they could at least have ac...

I was taking a look at the contract. It says under Registration Number "cannont be given out, Jockey Club Regulations. I can give a copy of his registration certificate without his number." What? Is that actually true? I have NEVER heard of ANY Registry that did not allow you to share the ho...
Mystic II
This is an older guy and I am trying to find out more about his bloodlines: *Mystic II (Relic x Tosca) - imported from France, 1954 Stallion The Database has him noted as having died in 1986, but only lists foals until 1984 so I am just wondering if those were his last foals or if he has others that...

Sires that give speed?
I don't mean just chef-de-races; I mean any stallion. What stallions are known for being successful at siring early speed and sprinters? This is just a research question as I don't own any mares to breed, but I am curious about what lines/studs are know for siring horses that have a lot of speed and...

Hate to sound like a prude or something, but isn't she rather young to be bred? :o I mean, she is just barely 3 right? I thought you really wanted to wait until mares are 4 or so to breed. And I have also heard that you want mares to be in good condition for breeding, as opposed to the leaner condit...

I was doing some research on Seattle Slew. When I clicked on Poker, his broodmare sire, I got this page: http://www.pedigreequery.com/poker/ It takes you to some weird online poker game thing :? I tried it multiple times and it always took me to something asking about hands, holdem, etc. I know next...

Congrats :D I am no expert, but I hear that there are quite a few mares that have longer gestations and there are mares that have babies "early". Sort of like people ! For example, every one of my aunt's four pregnancies went to 41+ weeks (one was nearly 44) and was fine, but a friend of mine ...

On to Glory?
I recently purchased some old (from mid-90’s) Ocala Breeder Sales catalogs. One of the Florida sires that caught my eye was On to Glory (Bold Lad-Shenanigans). I am pretty sure he is deceased by now because he was born in 1971. I can’t seem to find too much information about him so can anyone help m...
