We are sending the mare Bud's Bandita for a date with Birdstone this week. Gainesway told us the fee will go to 20 or 30K next year, but they gave us a stands and nurse at this years fee this late in the year. Hope he stays hot.

Smith always acts like the toughest guy in town, and he always takes the married man route. If he goes inside like musket man or flying private he runs the filly down. Bogus to say the filly didn't like the track. Her last race in the Oaks had to take a lot out of her, this race even more so. I pred...

You can get a lot better deal on a stud fee by breeding late in the year. Farms are wheeling and dealing right now.

What amazes me is that Stronach actually thought he could rebuy these properties himself through another corporation for pennies on the dollar and nobody would object. The guy has lost it years ago and racing is paying the price.

Ego is a destructive thing. In a perfect world Stronach would be banned from ever running a race horse again for what he did to Gulfstream Park. Hey, bring out some more dancing girls Frank, you idiot.

What a scam artist. The role of the trustee is to distribute the assets of the trust when the person dies. Nine years later and he is still milking it like its all his money. I bet some of the other beneficiaries are ready to strangle him. What often happens in these situations is the person thinks ...

I don't know the answer, but I like to watch who I consider some of the smartest people in the breeding business and see what they do. If you watch Will Farish from Lanes End farm, when he culls mares at the mixed sales, they usually are mares that have fine bloodlines, but had poor results as runne...

There is no excuse for a guy like Herman Heinlein to have one of his horses wind up in peril like this. He has had some great runners, had horses in the Ky. Derby, and is extremely wealthy. I plan on calling him and telling him.

Something not being included in the equation is that many fillies by top class sires do not race on in their careers. If they show little talent or show a lot of talent, their careers are cut short and off they go to the breeding shed, while mares out of cheaper studs usually race as long as someone...

Hypothetically, someone is going to give me a free breeding to either Distorted Humor or Smart Strike vs. Ghostly Minister or Limit Out, and I am going to choice the latter. That is just silly. Your chance of getting a big time horse are close to zero.

It is the thought of many that it is a perfectly effecient horse world where any mare worth breeding is snatched up at her value. I find this not to be the case, and see many mares in claiming races that are well worth the price or more just for their broodmare value. I saw a mare race a few days ag...

How many horses?

What would be a realistic number of broodmares and weanlings or yearlings that a farm could have on 8 acres of pasture? Any formulas, etc.
Also, how would you lay out fencing for such?

She is in foal now to Silent Name, which is what you are saying with Hat Trick. Want to breed her to a proven sire this year. Some we have considered are-Gulch, Smoke Glacken, E Dubai, Quiet American and Mutakddim. Thanks for your reply.
