ive seen plent of blind horses and blind broodmares in my life. and you quickly learn that theres no telling horse its handicapped. most of the time they get by just fine with only the fencing is really footing put to consideration. obviously cant have any objects in pasture or paddock that require...

dealing with the break is only half the battle, yes there are advanced and extrememly expensive surgeries. but the vet will tell (pretty much any vet) that trying to save a 20 year old horse with a fracture in the leg like that is a losing battle. even with successful surgury there is a long recover...

my colt started dunking his hay last year, he was eight-teen months old. got the vet out a few days later and he had his first floating. he hasnt dipped his hay since then. for many horses its a sign of needed dental work, but some horses just do it regardless.
