Painting Shadows

We will be taking a break from breeding next year, focusing on our BES colt Kodachrome, as well as spending more time with my daughter's travel volleyball league. We will be offering the outstanding mare Painting Shadows, by Airdrie Apache and out of a Play Fellows mare. Shadows would be wasted if n...

New cplots

Thanks, Gwen for all the good information! If you could pm any of the details to me, I feel that I have a good relationship with someone at the Jockey Club here in the states. Anyone that has an incorrectly registered horse/color, shoot me the horses name and I will make a list. I can drive over to ...

new colors

....anyone interested enough to organize a petition? Or possibly a sychronized mailing to include anyone interested and who has a horse who's color is incorrectly identified on it's papers? I have 5 of them myself..... An occaisional request obviously isn't enough to get it done. It's either send so...

adding new colors

I received a phone call earlier this spring from a very polite and professional individual from the American Jockey Club on the question of adding a color. In response to a letter I had written for the Jockey Club to consider adding the color buckskin, it was explained to me that it comes down to ne...

Black Toney and Blue Eyed Streaker

Blue Eyed Streaker traces to Black Toney from his sire line via Bimilech, and also on his dam side via Blue Larkspur. He is not in Texas, but is located in Louisville, Kentucky at Echo Hill Farm. Is it true that he has very unusual coloring. He is the patriarch of one of two known lines of Frame Ove...

TB stallion for AQHA mare

It's simple enough to obtain a T-number with the AQHA. If you find a stallion you really like who has not yet obtained a T-number, maybe you could request it. Would love to see you cross to Blue Eyed Streaker, but alas, he is only 15.3. So far we are seeing all but one of the foals we've produced lo...

Thanks Summerhorse. I noticed his white wasn't all that close to the ears, thus the question about his being deaf. I'll bet there's a pretty good chance he's not. I too have heard of deaf horses as very successful mounts. Breeder has to decide if benefits out way the risks. Anyway, we'll assume he's...

I believe his dam or half sister is in Canada. She produced a palomino marked similarly. Beautiful! Wonder if he has any offspring and how often he passes his lovely markings. Anyone know?? So unique. Love him. Just too far way......nice find.

RFF Alchemist

We are so sorry for your loss, Gwen. Having been through the same scenario, it's difficult to make sense of it. Owning/breeding horses is not for the faint of heart, but the experience in the end makes it worth it. I'm sure he lived like a king while he was with you. He was one of the lucky ones to ...

spot's spot

....yes, she does post here on rare occaision. What tests would you be interested in on her hair sample? The dear girl is ready to foal any day now. We're counting down......She's HUGE.... Yes, oddly, she does seem to have an "oops" spot, and also has a few small roan patches. She has a half ...
