Dar Re Mi to take on Conduit in BC Turf

The filly is leaning towards taking on Conduit. Would love to see it. She deserves a big win after what the stewards did to her.

I am pretty sure you are stuck with whatever you buy. You can buy insurance of some type for the time the claim is put in until you get them in your barn.

I like Exhale. He put up a big figure so effortlessly and in only his second career start.

He may be the best sprinter but I don't consider him a sprinter. He raced so infrequently and only has one grade 1 win and that is at 1 mile. I would guess he will get his Eclipse next year as Older Male and HOY. Long way to go but I think next year will be the year of the Cat.

I am thinking Marias Mon is going to be a big poly sire. Looked good so far.

Showing Up is a nice horse but times mean very little on the turf. Pace dictates everything.

The problem with giving Showing Up an Eclipse is that he has never beaten a good horse. All of his turf wins came against very very weak competition.

I think English Channel deserves it because he has the most grade 1's and he put in the best overall campaign. Showing Up couldn't beat Cacique in his only effort against older so I rule him out. I like him for next year's Eclipse. Aragorn would be the only horse other than EC that I think would be ...

Showing Up very impressive in Hollywood Derby

The pedigree (Strategic Mission- TV Commercial mare) on this one is not great but he runs like he doesn't know that. I thought After Market (Storm Cat) or Go Between (Point Given) would step up to challenge this horse this year, but he seems to be all by himself in the 3yr old turf division.

Polytrack Stallions

What are people's opinions on which stallions will do well on the polytrack? Should turf stallions do well on it as I have been told by a few people.

The three year old I am watching closely named Le Grands Trois is one of his sons. I expect this horse to makes some real noise next spring. He is out of a Gone West mare. Very impressive in his only start.

Secretariat, Ghostzapper, Native Dancer, Bold Ruler, Dr. Fager, Spectacular Bid and Discreet Cat were all produced from an outcross matings of NP on their dams side. Those matings produced soundness and hybrid vigor to the above that enabled them to become record setters. There appear to be soundne...

I think he is probably the best horse we have seen in some time. He ran a sub 108 for 6f and he looked like it took nothing out of him. A special animal that should be fun to watch next year. His victory over Invasor was apparently no fluke.
