What was the distance of that race?

Re: Hampton Court
The majority of successful Danehill stallions are sprinter/milers types. Unfortunately, Hampton Court is not that type which reflects his stallion fee despite being a G1 winner. Has the champion mare Makybe Diva And G2 winner Musket in his immediate family, but they haven't gone on to produce anythi...

Re: Runhappy wins........trainer fired!
Either a walk or a swim in a pool. The latter most likely if the horse was sore(or suspected to be) and needed to be off their body weight.

Re: Blacktype female family - but sire selection challenge
Have you considered any sons of Indian Charlie? He had a good affinity with Seattle Slew/Roberto line mares. His sons might be more readily available to choose from than the Kris S/Dynaformer your currently looking at?

Re: Storm Cat cloned
They are straight up greedy that's why. The only redeaming factor in cloning past stallions is to bring back dying or extinct bloodlines. This is hardly the case here with Storm Cat or any other Northern Dancer stallion for that matter.

Re: German-bred thorougbredbreds running in Australia.
Aussie trainers don't race stayers first up(from a spell) over a trip like they do in Europe. Most of the time they will start them at 1600m, not expecting them to win or anything but at least have them finish the race full of running like its trackwork. For some foreign horses, it might give them e...

Re: Opinions on Musketier
I think it is a matter of having faith on Musketier's ability to produce progeny with staying power that may later reproduce staying power. I don't think that broodmare sire (and sire) Princequillo came out of the blue sky without first being given a fair chance to demonstrate what ability he had. ...

Re: TIKKANEN --- Why?
His 3/4 brother Turgeon(by Caro) was a handy sire of jumpers in France. Tikkanen's progeny may have needed more distance and fences to show their best form?
They weren't going to get those type of opportunities in NA.

Re: Could you compare these stallions?
When I first looked at the pedigree of your mare....I thought she could benefit with some Blushing Groom and Turn-to bloodlines. Having then looked at the stallions you listed, I couldn't go passed Posse. He also happens to be the most poven from that bunch too. No matter who you send your mare to, ...

Not pushed on him as a sire, I predict another disappointment. Such a high fee of £125,000 for something unproven. With a first book of 40 G1 winners or producers he has every opportunity nothing more than 4 G1 winners in his first crop will be a failure. I feel the same. The best racehorse in memo...
