In Excess
The real undoing for In Excess babies is they are so precoius. They all seem to want to run early and even though you know that they would be better as 4 or 5 year olds it's difficult to wait when you have a horse thats ready (or seems to be) ready to run at two. The sames to be said for Cee's Tizzy...

I'm kind of chuckling because from the tenor of my posts you have assumed I'm Hispanic. I can see where you got that idea. Problem is I'm Scotch Irish and my father came here (illegally) from Canada to fight in WWII. He served 8 years, and never got legal citizenship. I have dual citzenship with Can...

They run mature horses because the horses can't hold up jumping like that at 2. I have Rope horses we don't even start to train them to rope until they are 4. The get broke, and become horses before they are asked to do that hard work. Jockeys shouldn't have to purge anymore than models should have ...

Gonna get myself in trouble...........
Why do you think that the worker dosen't know the answer can I get a towel? I must admit I speak 3 languages and don't have the hang up that I'm in America we all have to speak English. I contend that all my workers speak English, at least some, they may not speak to you if they don't like you, or d...

Well there is no class drop, but he was offered for $40,000 on the 13th, and now is offered for $35,000. He has tried the turf before, and didn't run well. I raise horses for the track and run some. I'm wondering why we as an industry don't look at what I would say is questionable at best, and ask q...

Learning the language
Well I for 1 have been in Agriculture in Southern California for the last say 40 years. I have NEVER seen a white guy picking tomatoes or avocados, or oranges. NEVER. Now I'm sure you could hire one for say $20.00 per hour and the orange would cost say $17.50. I could then buy one from Chile for $0....

Well now I'm probably going to get into a bag of worms. I believe we teach horses to lose, as well as win. This horse ran a couple of good races and then was put into a position to lose, he was run way over his head. He has been ran and ran since, each time running worse. I think his last start he w...

Higher prices
Well the problem isn't just higher prices. What is most likely to happen is you will be eating 90% FOREIGN fruits and vegetables. We then would be in the same position as we are with oil, dependent on other countries to provide us with food. This won't happen overnight, but is a response that over t...

Woody be Quick
Well I saw the race, and he ran well in the pack for the whole race, and then gave up. I'm familiar with the horse and just see it as a huge waste.

How Our Business gets a bad name......
Well here's the first way. Santa Anita 1/13/07 horse runs 11th on the grass for a $40,000 tag. SAME horse is entered for $35,000 on 1/18/07 at Santa Anita. This horse ran 4th to Stevie Wonderboy in a stakes and now is being used up by new owners. Can ANYONE give me a good reason why someone would ru...

Tribal Rule
I went to BOTH farms, I was traveling around to see those horses. There only a couple hours away from each other. Its interesting to hear worries about stats on such a new stallion. Came Home's first runner won its first time out, making him 100% winners from runners. The babies look good, he's had ...

Tribal Rule
Stopped by River Edge today to see him, I went to see both him and Marino Marini, and Roar. Tribal Rule is very balanced and his knees are very good for a Storm Cat. He looked as though he has alot of class and moved very well. He is good sized but not huge. Roar is very big, and again very well bal...
