What you call a mule hoof is surely a contracted type namely a club foot....I always advise NOT to shoe those and simply balance the foot...I keep horses sound and in hard work many years that way.In fact juste put down a 27 yo (unrelated accident,broken knee) and have a 20 yo one here and a 5 yo.
