Holy Cow! Her markings are nearly identical to my Quarter horse 2yr old! He is by Ex Marks the Cop by InExcess. The rear sock is exactly like my colts. What does her blaze look like? I call "Fly's" blaze, a chick on a post. Here is a picture that shows her face. She was 2 days old in this picture. ...

He is beautiful. Best of luck with him. It doesn't look like the chrome came from mom. Thanks. :D Mom has a star and snip and 2 hind socks. (You can see "dads" face markings above, he also has a white hind coronet.) But this is this years colts 2yo full brother as a foal! I couldn't believe all of ...

He's a beauty. If the gray is already present, maybe he is actually a roan and not a gray. Is his sire gray? Thank you. :D Yes, his sire is gray. (You can't get roan without a roan parent either.) Here is his sire as a foal, and a head shot of him as a 2yo. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/Bl...

First foal of theyear. Gray colt! MORE PICTURES ADDED.

Here is my first 07 foal. He was 6 days old in the photos. He is by my race bred AQHA stallion, and out of a TB mare. (She is by Pursuit, out of a daughter of Captain Courageous.) This is "Valentino". http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v207/BlackGSD/Valentino4-27-07_2120.jpg http://img.photobucket.co...

Depends on the stallion and the type of fencing. I have mares turned out that close to my stallion with no problems. HOWEVER he has had mares, even those in ROARING heat, that close to him (off and on) since birth so he is used to the situation.

Same as the above post, chestnut foals usually have legs lighter than the rest of the body, but if born chestnut but they are going to gray out, they have darker legs. Also if a foal is born BLACK, chances are it is going to be gray. Foals that are going to stay black are usually a mousy gray color ...

(although some theorize that heteros are the ones that get flea bites and that homozygotes grey out faster but I don't know that anyone has every actually collected enough of a sample to prove that one way or the other). Just old wives tales. :D I have seen plenty of heteros that don't have (never ...

While it IS a bad deal that he was kicked, I did think it a little humorous that the colt that kicked him is named, "Gotta Getcha".
