'Cautiously optimistic' sounds about right. That's a really small sample size. Definitely not enough to draw any conclusions, but the results so far are SO good that its certainly a little more likely that he'll be a success than it was before his career at stud started.

I just realized that because of the sponsored stallions, the data is freely available to do a study of Truenicks preditive power. I've written a post at my blog (see my signature for address) discussing it.

Actually, to be more precise, I'm looking for a full list of offspring from either the 2005 or 2006 crops for any sires that are currently included included in the list of complimentary hypothetical matings from Truenicks. I need the lists for a total of maybe 5-10 sires, and don't particularly care...
