Vet did it over the phone-it was on a Sunday. He told me it was not a big deal-and just use Uniprim...seems too easy. Vet is not really a horse vet-primarily dogs and Cats. Lump is under the throat latch and is soft-feels like a ball of fat.

Foal-White Nasal Discharge-Bad

Last week I noticed my four month old filly-weezing and having large amount of white greenish discarge coming out of her nose. She eats fine and has no diarrhea. Called the vet-and they stated to place her in Uniprime oral power for 14 days. She also has a lump under her chin. When she runs she weez...

Thank you for your responses. Talked to the vet and he also agrees, now it sits on wether I wait another year or move on and replace her. Patience is virtue. I strongly feel that they will give you back what you give to them. Thanks you :)

Difficulty Getting Mare in Foal-Two years

I was wondering if there was somebody out there who could help shed some light and recommend based on experience what I should do next. Two years ago I claimed a mare off the track after a modest racing career. Her name is Thatsmygeorgiegirl(Sefapiano-BMS-Lear Fan). Quite a large horse at 18hh, and ...

She was placed on Bute to help in the swelling and pain. She is doing great-all swelling is gone-she's eating like crazy-totally different horse. Thanks ...

One of her front hooves-near the frog started to ooozzz puss-and I'm scared that the cleaniliness of the enviroment she is in-has caused the infection. I was scared of founder-but she seems ok. I going to try and keep things clean til I can see the vet thursday-plus shes on antibiotics and bute. Hop...

Thanks for the info. Battle Cat's unsuccessful racing career was dubbed due to soreness. They pushed him too early at the track based on his breeding hoping for a superhorse and he came up sore. A full brother to him Storm Commander was a stakes winner. Your right-lets hope he's got the good part of...

Inbreeding Mating Advice

This spring I'm interested in breeding my broodmare-For I have Sinned (Supremo-My Sin-High Estate) to Battle Cat (Storm Cat-Picco Bello-Seeking The Gold). My question is-when I hypomated the two the entire sheet highlights with inbreeding colors especially strong in the Bold Ruler line on both sides...

Thanks for all the info. I have been teasing her with my Paint stallion for two months now and she is responding well. Also three weeks ago I had her checked for breeding soundness and the vet stated she was cycling and had multiple follicles. My concern is that she looks like crap and appears to ha...
